Dylan's 1st Christmas

Dave and I woke up around 6 a.m. because Christmas is still exciting to us! It was good timing though since Dylan was awake too at that time!

We went into his room and said Merry Christmas!!

We had to do a jammie change and then off to the bathroom to get ready for presents!

Dylan was a little confused as to what was going on, but he went with it and this is what happened...

Then we got ready for Christmas day, and went up to open presents with Grandma Elwood!

We also went to Grandma Purser's, but forgot our camera.
Dylan had a great Christmas and it was fun watching him and seeing families!!
Happy New Year!!

Christmas time is here.

Am I the only one who feels this way?? I just can't stand people spending money on me during Christmas. I feel like there are so many families in need at this time, and I feel guilty spending money on my husband and I. Especially since we don't need anything. I told my husband not to get me anything this year, but presents keep appearing on and under the tree. I also feel overwhelmed having to buy gifts for family and friends. I feel like Christmas is a presents holiday, not celebrating Christ's birth. I'm not trying to be a scrooge, but I'd rather spend time with family and do Christmas activities instead of present exchanges! Last year Dave and I just wrote each other thank you and love letters to each other, and it was a memorable Christmas. I mean really, think back and try to remember the presents people gave you, can you remember what you received? Now think of the fun memories of your kids or family. I hope you all make some memories this year. AWH...I feel better. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone!

More of Dylan's 6 month pics!!

Here ya go, grandmas, aunties, and whomever else happens to adore my child. Take a gander at these beauties. Let me know which one you want, and I'll send it your way.

SLC Lights

My family went to SLC last night to see the lights, and boy was it crowded. There was the Mormon Tab./David Archuleta concert so it was extra busy. Dylan wasn't the happiest, it rained a bit, and we were all ready to go home when we were done looking at all the lights. But we got some pretty pics!

Here's some more of my little sweetie pie!!

All bundled up for the freezing outdoors.

This was him at Thanksgiving, so happy!

My cool little dude.

The coat that he will grow into.....someday.....

And I also have to mention that Dylan cut his first tooth! It was about a week ago.

What we've been up too...

I realized that all I blog about is Dylan. So here is a post involving more of us! For Thanksgiving this year we went to my parents house and Mike and Traci came up. We had a nice dinner and as a tradition each Thanksgiving we go to a movie, so we went and saw Tangled. It was Dylan's first movie theater experience and he was so good and loved the movie and we did too! I would like it for my Birthday...just a heads up dear....ha ha. Then as usual I slept in on Black Friday, since I'm not a crazy person, and because I would be that crazy person if I went, since I'm not a morning person. Then on Saturday the girls (mom, Traci, and I) had a craft day, and made super cute Stars and JOY Christmas decorations. It was a good time!
And besides the holidays, Dave is still trucking along through school and has finals next week. He is hoping to graduate by next December or the spring after that. He is still working full time too. He is a busy man, and I don't see him that often. It seems like when he finally has a full day off, it's spent with other people, and we don't spend alot of time together-one on one. So if anyone wonders why we are late or leave early or don't show up for things, that is why. And for me, I'm still day dreaming about going to school one day, and I just keep thinking...patience is a virtue, patience is a virtue. (I'm also still day dreaming about a vacation on a beach somewhere.) I'm also going blonde...again. Why, you ask. Blondes really do have more fun!!! ha ha.
