Christmas 2013

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! Dave and I went to SLC to see the lights for a nice date, and we have a tradition each year to get a picture of us with a dip and kiss at the same spot every year. This date was our Christmas present to each other this year. The boys were spoiled by extended family and were given some awesome gifts that they love! Santa brought them a sled, they are outside boys so I'm sure it will get overused these next few months. We are definitely blessed and thankful for all we were given.

High School

Dave and I attended the same high school, I was a sophomore and he was a senior. We never knew each other existed and sometimes wish we could go back and see if we passed each other in the hallway. Don't be jealous, we look so dead sexy in our senior year pictures....mmmk...What were we thinking back then? I'm happy to say we are both better looking and have grown up a lot since then.

Joyous Day!

Dave was offered a job today! Yay! He starts training next week, and will be getting paid a little more than his last job! So much stress has been lifted from our shoulders.

Another one bites the dust...

You know when something happens and it is really difficult and you think, well that won't happen again because we've learned from that experience and things will get better.? Never make that assumption, always know that it can happen again. Dave lost another job a month ago. We are looking and applying, and he has had 2 interviews but nothing yet. I should be a pro when it comes to having faith and patience, yet I am not perfect and those things are being tested to the max again. I thought it was difficult the first time this happened but it's even more so this time around. We actually have a lot more bills this time around and so it makes it quite eventful. Just a few short days after he lost his job we headed to the Temple for some guidance. What a blessing it is to have a Temple so close. We both got the answer to not move to SLC or Utah County...we had some possible job opportunities down there. So we are still in the Valley hoping for work. We have an app on our phone called Indeed.com and each day there is anywhere from 5-30 job openings in Cache Valley and 50-150 in Utah County, so we are trying to figure out what the purpose of staying here is. There must be something coming, we just have to wait for it to come I guess.

Tatum's 1 Year Birthday!

I can't believe my Tater-bug is 1! We had a family party and the theme was "Bugs" since we call him our Tater-bug! I didn't get any pictures of the fun food table but I did get video. Here is the Birthday boy in action. He was so spoiled, and we are thankful to the family who came and made it a special day!

Potty Time

Dylan is now Potty Trained! Yay! It took about a week, and he was very willing. So the advice I was given by an old Visiting Teacher who had 8 kids was correct- "No need to force them to go because when they are ready they will let you know and it will be best for the both of you!" Dylan is 3 years and 5 months, I honestly didn't think it was ever going to happen since most of the other kids his age were potty trained a year ago. One of our family goals this year was to get him potty trained and thank goodness it happened before the end of the year! Here are a few pictures, I am highly aware that I missed an important step on his chart which is to "wipe" and I asked him to flex in his undies and he kept looking in the mirror instead of the camera...like father like son.... ;)
