Our Trip To Draper, Utah...

Dave and I needed a little vacation, so we drove to his sister Sarah's and stayed a couple of nights. They took good care of us, mints on our pillows and all!! While we were there we went to Mulligan's Golf Course in South Jordan, it was super windy, but so warm outside! We just practiced on the driving range. It had one of those double decker ranges like you see on the movies. So cool!! We also saw this little eating place called NACHO MAMA'S PLACE. We died laughing when we saw it and definitely had to take time to do lunch there. We were also able to go to the Draper temple dedication on Sunday. It was awesome, I'm so excited to do temple work in there one day. Here are a few pics from the trip...

HELLO SUNSHINE!!!

I'm so happy about the warmer weather! Yay! Last night for FHE, Dave and I went bicycling up to the Logan Temple. It was so nice. I felt like a young person again! Somedays I feel like such an old lady, my back hurts, my feet hurt, I have no energy...etc. But I've decided to do as many active things as I can while I'm in my 20's because before I know it I will be the old lady, I never wanted to be. The goal in life is to stay young forever!!

March Madness!!

So Wednesday nights are rather boring at the Elwood house, so we decided to get out the games and play Hungry, Hungry, HIPPOS!! Our friends Curtis and Megan gave us this game for a wedding gift. Thanks guys! We had a good time playing it, it brought back the childhood memories. Here are a few Hippo pics....

He Loves me!!

Our first Valentines day being married was so great! Dave made me breakfast in the morning, and we spent every minute of the day together. It was perfect!! Dave also bought me roses, and I have wanted these candlesticks forever, so he bought them also. Boy am I spoiled!! He Loves ME!!! Yay! Then later we made dinner, how romantic! It was a great day.

Chop the Mop!!

So it has finally come to my attention that this long hair just ain't cutting it!! I love it when I have time in the morning to do it all curly or cutesie, but that only happens once every couple of weeks. So those of you who have known me longer than a few years, know that I grow, then cut, then grow, then cut. Well....I've grown, now I must cut!! I need an easier, quicker hairstyle, therefore, back to the short bob!! yay!!!!!! (Maybe people will realize I am a licensed cosmetologist now, and maybe they'll think I'm not 19 or 20 years old!) So here is my before picture....

and here is the new cut!! I love it! Thank you Kelsey for doing it for me!! It's a drastic A-line Stack!! Yay!!

P.S. totally didn't mean to wear the same outfit in these before and after pictures. crazy.

CoMpLeTe RaNdOmNeSs!!!

So...I kinda of am using this blog as a little journal of mine, so I can remember the good, the bad, and the ugly. This is what has been happening in the past couple weeks with us! My Dad and Bro go to the car show every year, which is nice for Dave. And so all the fam went to SLC and the guys went to the car show, and us girls went shopping!! Yay! Dave loves taking random car pictures. So there are some on here. Another thing we have been busy with is scouts. Our boys are ....well they're 10 yr. old boys, need I explain more. Last week was the Pinewood derby, and it was a grand event for the year. Dave and I were officiators, making sure the cars didn't fly off the track. We had a good time. :) Another thing we did this last week was buy a new entertainment center, it was needed. We were using a wobbly, old one from my parents, probably 20 yrs. old. We bought it for a good deal too! And it actually took us like 4 hours to put it together, my husband is a patient man. If I were to put it together it would've taken half the time. But would've probably had broken pieces lingering. Also Dave bought me this mirror for Christmas that I've been eyeing at Tai Pan Trading for a long time, and we finally put it up! It makes my day everytime I come home and see it. That's a portion of the last couple weeks! Here are some pics.....

Draper Temple

This last weekend Dave and I and the Elwood fam and extended fam went down to the Draper house opening. It was so beautiful! The woodwork was amazing, the lighting was spectacular, it made my day. I love the temple, and I love going to the temple with my husband. It's a place to go when you want to just leave the real world, and to remember why you are here in the first place. I'm so glad Dave and I were able to get married in the Logan Temple. It was a wonderful day, with family and friends. The spirit was so strong the whole day. What a wonderful experience!!........After we went there, Dave wanted to go to a food place that he has never been to, so I took him to Zupas. Zupas was one of my favorite places when I was living in Provo. They have soup, salad, and sandwiches. And they always give you a chocolate covered strawberry!! My favorite. :) We had a great day!

LIFE FROM 12/25/08-PRESENT

Santa spoiled the both of us this Christmas, with an X-box and Guitar Hero. We also just recently went out with some of my old friends and their husbands, three of which are pregnant!! (the wives, not the husbands). We went to Texas Roadhouse, which was an hour and a half wait, but it was good to catch up with everyone. Other then that, I believe I may have lost my husband to the X-box. For instance, I left for work the other day at 9 a.m., came home from lunch at 1 p.m., and he was still playing his car chasing game. I went back to work, and came home at 5:30 p.m., and yep, you guessed it, Dave was still in his pajamas, playing his car game. What a productive husband I have, ha ha. I just have to laugh it off, because as all you ladies know, boys will be boys!! Happy New Year!
