Catch up

Dave's new job is going well. He Loves it in fact. Tate is a 6 month old, holy smokes it flew by way too fast! He is eating baby food and sits really well, but he refuses to roll. He also loves big brother Dylan and would rather play with him than anything or anyone else. All of that is great except he likes to wake up mommy at least 3 times a night. I am exhausted, so hopefully he can figure that one out soon. Dylan is talking up a storm...finally! He is so cute and says some funny stuff. I am still figuring out how to divide my time between the two, and I still haven't figured out time for myself to rewind and lose the baby weight. We are currently looking for a family vehicle. Whether it's a van or mid-size SUV, I could care less what it is, as long as it's bigger!

Prayers

I have been thinking alot lately about prayers that have been answered. Not just that they have been answered, but that they have been answered in God's timing, and in His own way, not ours. I have always had Faith in God's plan. I know that I can't decide what will happen, but He will. So I have to be patient and have Faith that it will work out. It has been hard for me, because I have always been a planned out person. I have planned my life and developed expectations, that are realistic, yet sometimes not what God wants to happen. When we were pregnant with Dylan, we had never experienced so much joy and love for anything else like this before. We wanted so badly for our siblings and their spouses to experience this huge blessing that we were so blessed with. Each night we would say our family prayer and specifically pray for the siblings who were trying to have children, and the siblings who we weren't sure were trying. Even though at different times, each of our siblings have been blessed with children of their own, we have been lucky to get 3 nieces (plus 1 on the way and 1 pending adoption) and 2 nephews within 3 years. Each of their experiences have been in different timing and different ways, but equally blessed. So looking back, those specific, consistant, nightly prayers of ours were answered, in God's way of course and we are so happy for that.
A facebook friend of mine posted this on facebook. I am so glad I saw this because there have been times in my life where I have forgiven and let go of things yet other people around have a problem with me not letting the people I have forgiven be in my life. If I am happy without them, that's all that matters, I don't care what anyone thinks. It's what makes me happy that matters!

Better Job

Dave has been working at Convergys now for a year and a half and we have been looking for higher paying, and better working jobs for about a year. Dave has had alot of resume/application submissions and most of them he was able to be called back for an interview, but he never was hired on. It is so frustrating when you get a degree from a good college and then find out that there aren't very many job options unless he were to get a masters. He is still in limbo with what he wants to do with his life, so right now it's whatever works to pay the bills. We heard about a job opening at a company called Ducworks, and Dave applied and the guy who interviewed him gave him really high hopes that the job was his, they just needed to move some people around first, so after a week of daily calls from this guy saying sorry, but one more day and we'll have a job for you, the guy finally said that they didn't have anything for him right now, but they were really wanting him to work for them, so if something came up, they would call. Well the other day he called, and offered him the job! Yay. I guess one of the guys they just hired, just put his 2 weeks in so the job opened up. We were so happy that we had to celebrate and buy cupcakes. We are so happy! He is getting payed a little more than Convergys, and this job he will be doing physical labor instead of talking on the phone, so he will be happier too! As for me, we are going to wait and see how things are financially and then I will still most likely get a part time job doing hair somewhere!

LOVE

Today is Valentine's day, today is about love and I want to pour out my Love I have for my Heavenly Father today. I am thankful that he gave me two sweet and adorable boys. Whenever I have a struggle, they are there to lift my spirits, and love me. I see that as my Father in Heaven giving me gifts of love. I have also been talking to him since Dylan was born about me being a stay at home mom or going to work. He willingly let me be a stay at home mom for almost three years now, but he has seen my family struggle and myself stress out these past few years and revealed to me (through the scriptures) that I need to go back work to help out our financial situation. It was a personal revelation, and the feeling of the spirit came so strong that I almost fell to the floor. I have never receieved such a specific answer or sure answer to a prayer before. It was just what I needed to move on and let go of the weight of life on my shoulders. So off I go to work. I am going to start out part time, and see where it leads me. I know this is a personal story and I feel like when we open up and share these moments, it can let others relate, and not feel alone. Heavenly Father LOVES me because he gave me an answer I have been asking for and pondering about for a long time, and I see why he didn't tell me until now. I needed to experience some hard stuff to understand the good. He does that alot, and it's ok. If you feel un-loved, just remember that your Heavenly Father loves you, and your Savior has felt your pain, and understands.

4 Months for Tate

Tatum had his 4 month check up yesterday. He is in the 30% for weight, 60% for height, and 23% for head. Tate is my first 100% nursing baby, so I got the "am I feeding my baby enough" mommy worry for awhile. He has chub and that's all I care, his rolly thighs are my favorite! I am so lucky to be his mommy!
