So here I am again doing as my lovely wife asks me... updating the blog. I guess she doesn't want me to miss out on any of the fun. Well I will just give a brief synopsis of the days events and then let the pictures do the rest of the talking. We decided that it would be a fun way to spend the day at Cherry Hill in Kaysville. I had never been there before and Angie used to go there all the time with her family and cousins so we decided to make a day of it. Anyway after a lot of sun and splashing around in the water here is how it all turned out. Enjoy!
Memorial Day Memories!

Cub Scouts!
So today was a tiring day. I worked just half a day and my boss had all of us workers go up to Logan Canyon to do paintballing, which is a blast! I haven't been since I was like 12 years old! I mostly just watched and relaxed in the shade, but I was able to play for a little bit. -Pictures to come in the future.- Then for Webelos we took the 6 boys up to 2nd Dam and hiked a trail and made s'mores. That age of boys is so out of control. I think every minute I was telling someone to.."put that down!"..."don't do that!"..."what are you doing?"...don't climb that!"...."you'll burn your eyebrows off!"..."Put your head back in the car!"..."stop digging in my glovebox!"...and the list goes on. But overall I enjoy my calling, The boys can be really cute sometimes, and it's fun to see them grow! Here are some pictures from Webelos!

1st Anniversary!!
I can't believe we had our first anniversary yesterday!! What an amazing job Dave did with the planning. We started the festivities on friday night by relaxing at riverdale resort. Soaking in hot tubs is one of our favorite things to do. Then the next morning Dave wouldn't tell me anything that we were doing all day, and I hate secrets!! I kept asking him where we were going. And all he would say is-"you'll see in 3 hours."- hiding secrets is not a special talent of his. hee, hee. So Saturday morning we went to the Logan Temple and did sealings, it was so awesome to do that and remember our special day in the Temple as well. Afterwords we started driving in all sorts of directions as if to "confuse me". Finally we headed to Salt Lake and we went to the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy. It was awesome, crowded, but so many cool things to see!! It was like our honeymoon at sea world all over again!! ..kind of... but similar! I was happy! Then Dave took me to the "Roof" restaurant on top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building! I love that place. It's pricey, but so delicious! And the view of the temple is awesome of course!! Then we went to the Anniversary Inn! We were in the "South Pacific" room, it had a hot tub with a waterfall, and our bed was in a little shack, with plant, flowers and fake birds, it was pretty realistic, and we loved it! How fun is the Anniversary Inn! Everyone should go there for at least 1 night out of their lives! We also went there for our Wedding night, but in Logan, and it was just as great!! Also Dave bought me a wedding band for my ring! He spoils me way too much! But he makes me really happy too!! What a great 1st anniversary. And in Dave's words- "you get to plan the next anniversary!" (I think he was spent)

Our Southern Utah Getaway!

So this past weekend Angie and I had the chance to get out of town for my birthday. We decided to take a trip to St George and just soak up some rays and get in a little R&R. Also on the way down we did a Utah temple tour. We stopped at most of the temples along the way and took some pics. We were able to see 8 out of the 11 currently operating temples here in the state. Pretty cool. We went to Zion National Park and took a tour of the canyon and did a little hiking as well. We hiked up to the Emerald pools...( I remember doing this as a wee little lad)I don't know if we were too early in the season or if it was just not as impressive as it was when I was there last, which was about 20 yrs ago, but it wasn't at all how I remembered it. The rest of the canyon was full of beautiful scenery though. After Zion, we stopped at IN-N-OUT Burger for my Birthday Dinner. I was so excited when I found out that there was an IN-N-OUT in Utah. Unfortunately it's on the opposite end of the state. So delicious and tasty! We spent the rest of our time just hanging out at our hotel, swimming, shopping, dining out and enjoying the warm weather.
April Fool's Day!!
I pitty the fool...ha ha. I'm dumb. Anywho, so I am a big April Fool's Day prankster so today at work I tried a few things, and they all fell through. Well I have been planning one for my husband the past couple of days. I know some of you will frown upon this, but just think about when you were first married and sooooo not ready for kids, and the thought of being pregnant freaked you out!! So I had my co-worker be my accomplice in this, and she had a pregnant friend take a prego test for me and when my hubby got home I surprised him with it!! Funny huh? or so I thought...My husband is the best. He was really supportive with his loving eyes and body language, and he didn't freak out. He "stepped up", "did work son", was a "man" about it and had a smiling face. Now I was expecting a bulging eyeball-gasp type of reaction. It didn't go as planned and he laughed it off thank goodness. I thought I damaged the poor boy. Anyways, that's the last of my tricks, at least for now...mwahahahahahah. Hope you all had a good Day!!
Our Trip To Draper, Utah...
Dave and I needed a little vacation, so we drove to his sister Sarah's and stayed a couple of nights. They took good care of us, mints on our pillows and all!! While we were there we went to Mulligan's Golf Course in South Jordan, it was super windy, but so warm outside! We just practiced on the driving range. It had one of those double decker ranges like you see on the movies. So cool!! We also saw this little eating place called NACHO MAMA'S PLACE. We died laughing when we saw it and definitely had to take time to do lunch there. We were also able to go to the Draper temple dedication on Sunday. It was awesome, I'm so excited to do temple work in there one day. Here are a few pics from the trip...

HELLO SUNSHINE!!!

I'm so happy about the warmer weather! Yay! Last night for FHE, Dave and I went bicycling up to the Logan Temple. It was so nice. I felt like a young person again! Somedays I feel like such an old lady, my back hurts, my feet hurt, I have no energy...etc. But I've decided to do as many active things as I can while I'm in my 20's because before I know it I will be the old lady, I never wanted to be. The goal in life is to stay young forever!!
March Madness!!
So Wednesday nights are rather boring at the Elwood house, so we decided to get out the games and play Hungry, Hungry, HIPPOS!! Our friends Curtis and Megan gave us this game for a wedding gift. Thanks guys! We had a good time playing it, it brought back the childhood memories. Here are a few Hippo pics....
