Preparing for Baby!

I went to a doctors appt. today and I am measuring a week early, but the ultra-sound I had showed that Dylan is growing on track with my usual due date. So they are going with the ultra-sound...dang! It would be nice to have my baby a week earlier! We'll see what my doctor says next week. :) Here are some pictures of Dave putting together Dylan's crib! He did a great job, and he was so excited to put it together!!

This was the night before he put it together, he got everything out and ready to go, he was excited!!

Here he is prepping for the build with a pre-snack...

Such a handyman...

And I approve! Good Job honey!

This is random, but I have been going through a lot of chocolate pies lately...shhh don't tell my doctor...and I think I had eaten only one piece of this pie, and it slipped right out of my hands and I couldn't save any of it. :( I almost cried.

Vacation!

So I have stopped working and Dave has Spring Break from school, and he took a whole week off of work to use up his vacation hours before he loses them. So we took advantage! We may not have gone to some fabulous resort or cruise, but Salt Lake was good enough! We spent 3 nights at the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake. It was really nice, as you walk into the hotel there's a giant chandelier and fancy.... everything pretty much. We just relaxed everyday and swam a lot. On Monday we drove to Park City, because I haven't been there since I was like 12 and Dave couldn't even remember the last time he was there. We drove around there for a while and shopped at the outlets. Usually I would be looking for stuff for me to buy, but when you have a baby on the way, all you want to do is buy stuff for the baby! Which I love to baby shop! I found some really cute clothes for our little Dylan at Oshkosh. And I'm super excited for my showers coming up to see what else he gets! Here are some pics from the trip...Sorry they're not very exciting!

I haven't posted a prego picture of me for a while, so here I am at 32 weeks! Just 8 more to go! Except for the Doctor keeps saying I'll be 5-6 weeks early, so I guess I should say..Just 2-3 weeks to go?!

The Family; A Proclamation To The World

-The first commandment that God gave Adam and Eve pertained to their potential for parenthood as husband and wife. We declare that God's commandment for His children to multiply and replenish the earth remains in force......We declare the means by which mortal life is created to be divinely appointed. We affirm sanctity of life and of its importance in God's eternal plan.-
I want to tell my story about starting a family, and my reasonings and feelings about it. Since I was little I always dreamed of a big family. When I thought of what I wanted to be when I grew up, it was a model, singer, dancer, nurse...etc. But as I got older my plan was to become a beautician and be a mom. I thought-what a great talent to have that I could do from my home, and still be a full time mom. So that plan has now begun. As I was preparing for marriage there was something that stuck out in the books I read, and also in my thoughts, as I planned what I wanted in life as I got married. And what stuck out to me was -multiply and replenish the earth-. I had heard stories from friends where some women took birth control and had problems having children. That really scared me and I wasn't' sure if I should take it or not. I discussed with my fiance' at the time-Dave- about how I was feeling, and he said that I could do whatever I felt was right. We also discussed how we wanted to spend time together and get to know each other for at least a year or so before we had kids. So I took birth control for about 9 months, but the whole time I felt like I was doing something bad. I can't explain it, but it was like the spirit was telling me that I needed to listen to what was told in the Proclamation to the Family, and what was told as we were sealed in the Temple-Multiply and Replenish the Earth-. About 6 months into marriage I prayed and asked what I should do. I asked if I was ready to be a mom, and I asked if it was the right time to bring one of these precious children into this world. And I had this peaceful feeling, and this assurity that it was what I should do, even if I didn't get pregnant right away, I should stop trying to prevent it. Because Heavenly Father has a plan for all of us, whether we have a honeymoon baby or we have kids 10 years down the road. Or if we are able to adopt one of his children, and raise them in the Gospel. I talked to Dave and he wasn't ready to have kids yet. So after some more praying and Temple attending we started trying in June of 2009. And we conceived our baby boy in August. I'm so thankful that I have been blessed to carry this little boy. I don't know what the future brings, but I hope that he will make it to this Earth, and stay for a while. And that I can be a good mom and bring him up in this Gospel, and watch him learn and grow. It's definitely scary, but I know God trusts me with this gift from above. And I thank him for this opportunity that not every woman receives here on the Earth. I pray with Dave every night that the people we know and love will be able to be blessed with children in their lives. We are thankful, thankful, thankful for this blessing!

Sick, sick, sick!

It's way too early to be saying this-so knock on wood-but I'm ready to get this little dude out of me! Our baby is growing, and starting to kick my ribs and give me some major acid reflux, and heart burn. And to make matters worse- last week I had congestion, a sore throat, and cough.....this week I had the flu! Yuck! Unless you've been pregnant, you have no idea how exhausted I am, and to make things even more complicated, I have to speak in church tomorrow about a topic I can't wrap my brain around! I hope I don't pass out on the stand tomorrow!!!

That's a Purser girl!

"That's gotta be a little David Purser!"- The words I've heard all my life. You see, I received pretty much all of my dad's looks- Cleft chin, tan skin, blonde hair, blue eyes, facial structure....etc. My parents usually weren't too worried if I got lost in a crowd of people they knew, because I looked just like my dad, and everybody knows my dad! Yesterday was his birthday, and Dave and I went out to eat at El Toro Viejo with them, it was delicious! Then we came home and ate cake and ice cream. It was a good night. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Dad! We LOVE you.

Love the Perm dad....

Spoiled...yes I believe so! Happy LOVE Day!!

I had a wonderful Valentines weekend! I spent most of the day Saturday- baking cake, cupcakes, doing hair appointments, running errands and grocery shopping for a Valentines day dinner. I am so exhausted! But it was all worth it when my Valentine came home from work saturday night, and we were able to eat a candle light dinner, and watch a romantic movie! When I woke up this morning to get ready for church my hubby surprised me with a beautiful diamond necklace in the shape of a heart!! It made me have that butterfly, giddy feeling again, like when he proposed to me! I am spoiled for sure. Thanks honey for a great day!! XOXO
We've started buying baby furniture...perma-grin! The End.
