How do mom's do it? Go to school that is. I've only gone one day and I'm already overwhelmed. Probably because we just went over the syllabus's and I got to see every little thing that I have to do by the end of the semester, plus take care of a roaming toddler. Hopefully I can get back into the school groove, and manage my other responsibilities.
Just a quick update on our lives, Dave is still looking for work. He is taking 12 credits and has classes Mon.-Fri. during the day. So finding swing shift jobs have become quite the task. (If anyone knows of any, let us know!) He is still doing awesome at his calling as a Ward Missionary by going out once a week knocking on doors, and teaching the Gospel Principles class once a month.
Our car had to get a new alternator, so Dave purchased one and installed it himself. Well, it doesn't work, so we took it to Tunex and they determined that the alternator AutoZone sold us wasn't a brand new one like we were told, so it was rebuilt and no good. So now we have to return it and hopefully get a new one installed so we can give my parents their car back. Thanks parents!
I am taking 6 credits and taking care of the munchkin man, (and just looked down to find that he has figured out how to remove his diaper, lovely) doing housework, and making dinner. Yep, I cook now...at least what I call cooking! :) I have also been doing my calling as Relief Society Party Committee Member, which consists of helping out once every few months.
That's life for us! We may not have it all together, but together we have it all. :)
The Peacegiver
I just finished reading the book-"The Peacegiver", it has totally changed my way of thinking about the Atonement. I've been in a rut the past couple of years, and I've had a hard time letting go of the sins of my heart. The book explains it better than I ever could. I used to be really good at letting things go, I had alot of confidence, and it didn't matter what people did or said to me, I could just laugh it off and life was great. The last couple of years, a couple of really awful things happened and I haven't been able to let them go. I'm getting closer to it though.
I know that God's plan is definitely unexpected but most definitely worth the fight. Never Give Up.

Fiesta!
This weekend was the 3rd Annual Purser Family Bear Lake Cabin Weekend! It was lots of fun! My mom did a Mexican Fiesta Party. Which consisted of some pretty awesome outfits...
There was a Pinata...
We had a taco bar and Traci made some delicious virgin margaritas...
My mom found a recipe for Non-Deep Fried-Deep Fried Ice Cream, which I didn't get a picture of, but it was yummy!
We then watched the ever classic- "The Three Amigos"!
We spent a few hours at the lake, and Dylan actually loved being in the water and of course loved playing in the sand...
Mike, Traci, and I decided to make Dave into a merman...
We also had an unexpectd guest come hang out with us...
Yup, that's a young moose!
Then on our way to leave, our car died. So we had to abandon it at the cabin. Hopefully a tow truck can show up tomorrow and retrieve it!
Overall we had such a great time! My family is awesome, and we know how to have fun! Adios Amigos!

It's official. I just paid my tuition. :)
Today Dave and I went up to USU to pay my tuition that didn't get fully covered by my Pell Grant. Dave showed me where all my classes were so I wouldn't get lost when I go up there in a little over a week. We walked into one of the classrooms and I got nervous butterflies in my stomach. Just like the ones I used to get the night before the first days of each year I went to school. It's an excited nervous, which I haven't felt in awhile. I'm really glad I have chosen to continue my education. I'm still not declaring my major yet, because I'm sure I'll change it a few times. Just getting my generals done! Hopefully I can be as awesome as my brother and get straight A's every semester. I'm a bit competitive, so I'm sure I'll get close if not the same. :) Happy Schooling everyone!
Riverdale
Our little family went to Riverdale last weekend. We even got slide passes and Dylan got to slide with us! He didn't really enjoy the slides but he loved the water and loved being outside.
This has to be the best $5 I've ever spent. He loves this lawn mower!

Is Facebook the only way you are keeping track of people's lives? Is it determining your relationships with other people? There is a study going on by Psychologists that in the near future, if someone takes themselves off of your friends list, it may effect you emotionally to the point of depression. Depressed because someone deleted you as a friend on facebook? Come on guys, it's facebook. Are people seriously using facebook as their main factor for friend status? I recently closed my Facebook account (which was Dave and I's account) but I felt bad erasing Dave's friends I didn't know, so I just got rid of the account and opened my very own. I'm basically keeping one so I can keep in contact with High School, work, and old ward friends. I probably won't be using it as often. Free from Facebook. Awhh. ;)
Indecisiveness.
Indecisiveness;
My problem.
Help me.
I keep going back and forth on some very important things.
I'm trying to make a difficult, mind boggling decision to work full time, stay home with my baby, or take advantage of free schooling.
There's no way I can do all three. Dave is having no luck with the job hunt and he only has two semesters to finish College and get his Bachelors Degree. I applied for a full time job this morning on a whim, and if I get it, I most likely will have to find daycare and not go to school. Neither of which I would like to do more than take care of Dylan. I'm not gonna lie, being a mom all day is stressful, but it's hard trusting anyone else to give the attention and teaching to him that I could. Even though it's been difficult, I am thankful for these struggles I have right now, because I know they will mold me into a better person, and there will be wonderful things to come out of it.
"Trust in the Lord..."
That's exactly how I've been living my life. I know that Trusting in the Lord and having Faith in him, things will turn out. No matter how many times I pray and ask to know what I should do as a mom, I always get the same answer. - Stay home. Dylan needs you more than you need other things.
Well now that the light bulb has turned on again, I guess that's my answer, and it always has been.
I know if you go to the Lord, he will let you know exactly what you need to do. I'm thankful for the Gospel, and for all of my many, many blessings. :)

Busy.
Life has been pretty busy lately. Dave and I started a project together. We decided to sand down and paint a dresser, which has been in my family for near 100 years. It belonged to my Great Grandpa, and it went from old to bold. Love it! As Dave says- "It looks really sleek."
We have also been taking in these last few weeks before we start school and add even more to our already busy schedules. We went to a splash pad in Providence, and Dylan DID NOT enjoy himself.
Dylan also found a new LOVE.
These are just a few cute ones to enjoy.
